Twelve regions of the Hyderabad district and three regions of Rangareddy and Medchal districts with more COVID-19 positive cases are declared as containment clusters by the GHMC commissioner D.S. Lokesh Kumar and also ordered the concerned departments to take control over these regions. The GHMC commissioner discussed with police commissioner Anjani Kumar and took few decisions to contain the virus transmission. Out of 175 corona positive cases in the city, 89 people belong to these regions. Disease surveillance protocols will be intensified in these regions or else everything may go out of control.
What is Done in These Regions
- Every home is checked by the Medical and Health department, GHMC and the concerned departments.
- People with disease symptoms are moved to the hospitals and people infected with the virus are moved to quarantine centers or isolation wards.
- Every street in these regions is swept and kept clean. Insecticides are sprayed on a regular basis with scheduled monitoring.
- Barricades are set up in these regions as not to allow people to move out.
Geo-tagging from time-to-time
Last month, 593 people who went to Delhi belong to the Hyderabad district alone. Amongst them 89 people are infected with Coronavirus, these people have directly transmitted the disease to 51 people and through the indirect mode of transmission 70 other people are also infected. The residential areas of all these people are reviewed though officers by geo-tagging them in the government’s app. Till Wednesday, houses of 659 people are geo-tagged.
