Suspension Bridge

On Dec 1st 2019, Telangana State finance minister T Harish Rao and Tourism Minister Srinivas Goud inaugurated the suspension bridge on Komati Cheruvu. This is the second suspension bridge in the state after the Laknavaram lake suspension bridge. But it is 91 meters more in length when compared to the Laknavaram bridge. The suspension bridge is built with 2 big pillions of 100 feet height each hanged by galvanized ropes that are imported from Korea. The bridge is 241 meters in length with a 4 feet width walking track. At a time almost 200 people can stand or walk and enjoy the beauty. This suspension bridge is built by the so-called bridge-man and Padma Shri awardee, Girish Bharadwaj from Mangaluru.

Minister Harish Rao stated that the development activities took place in a quick manner under the leadership of CM K Chandrasekhar Rao. He further said, “The development of Komati Cheruvu has been the dream of Chief Minister KCR, and it has now become a reality. People should treat Komati Cheruvu like their own property and maintain its cleanliness.’’ He also alleged that in the united Andhra Pradesh, the development of historical tourist places in Telangana were neglected by the government.
