Lumbini Park Ticket Price (2023):

Lumbini Park is a major attraction on the Tank Bund Road Hussain Sagar Lake. It was developed by the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority in the year of 1994 as a part of the Buddha Purnima Project which functions under the directives of the state government. The park is named after a garden where Siddhartha was born, who later becomes Gautham Buddha. In 2006, the park was renamed after the late Chief Minister Tanguturi Anjaiah as T. Anjaiah Lumbini Park, but it is still known by the name of Lumbini Park. Many of the excellent facilities available at the park include the musical fountain, laser show and water cascades and much more. Lumbini Park is considered as one beautiful park in Hyderabad city and a hot tourist site.

The Lumbini Park is adorned with a variety of seasonal flowers, bushes, trees and rocks which is set on a lush green landscape of around 7.5 acres. Inside the park, there is an auditorium first of its kind in India, spread over 2.5 acres that conducts laser shows and can accommodate over 2000 people. It is one of the initiatives of the park that supports Hyderabad as a World City. At the entrance of the park, there is a large flower bed designed in the shape of a clock. Right in the center of the park’s lake is the statue of Lord Buddha. To attract and amuse kids, this fabulous park is equipped with all the basic requirements. There is sufficient space within the park for the children to enjoy and for families to have a pleasant picnic apart from the food outlets and boating facilities.

Lumbini Park is a budget-friendly amusement center accessible to people from different walks of life. The major attractions at the park include a musical fountain, laser show and the boat rides. The sight of water shooting up into the sky at the musical fountain making a screen of water that shows the history of Hyderabad, something not many of us has seen before. The fountains swirl to the tunes of hit songs from Telugu and Hindi films. This is India’s first spectacular water multimedia show that is installed by Emotion media factory in Lumbini Park. Other attractions include cascading artificial waterfalls, swings, pop-up fountain and a merry go round, it is extremely crowded with a gaggle of kids present at all times.

The captivating show of lights by the laser show displays the history of Hyderabad. This show is not only visually attractive but also narrates the stories of the city which makes it more interesting. Adding to the laser show, there is also a musical show which is equally magical. One can have a great view of the water fountains dancing to the tunes of famous tunes. The laser show timings at Lumbini park on weekdays is at 7.15 PM, while on weekends that is on Saturday and Sunday, two laser shows are held at, one at 7.15 PM and other at 8.30 PM. The ticket price for the laser show is Rs. 50 per person. The musical fountain show timing is from 6.30 PM to 8 PM.

The Lumbini park is open from 9: 00 AM to 9: 00 PM on all days of the week except for Monday. As the park is located centrally in the city, it can be accessed very easily. The nearest metro station to Lumbini park is Assembly metro station which is just at a distance of 2.5 km. From Secunderabad Railways station, it is 6 Km to the Lumbini Park.
