The Lakefront Park is open from 5 AM to 11 PM, allowing visitors to enjoy its facilities from early morning until late at night. Morning walkers are permitted from 5 AM to 9 AM, and a nominal fee of Rs. 100 per month is collected for their usage.
Similarly, Lakefront Park also grants permissions for functions. Special events such as birthdays, get-togethers, and other cultural programs can be organized here for a fee of Rs. 11,000/-, accommodating a minimum of 100 people, and HM&DA facilitates the arrangement of these events in the park.
For tourists, Lakefront Park has set up a Karachi Bakery outlet along with several other food outlets. The Lakefront Park is open to visitors from 9 AM to 11 PM.
Lakefront Park Features:
- In the park, which covers approximately 10 acres of land, there are 22 trees with 25 years of age. These trees have been successfully transplanted using transplantation techniques, thriving with vibrant greenery. Additionally, the park features the cultivation of 40 different types of plants. Alongside these, there are plants that not only deter mosquitoes but also emit aromatic fragrances.
- In the vast expanse of the park, approximately 4 lakh (400,000) plants have been meticulously arranged with captivating landscaping (greenery) on a daily basis. For these, they have employed not only names but also barcoding for the first time.
- In addition to the modern maintenance building in the park, they have also set up ticket counters, security checks, restrooms, and other essential facilities.
- Entry fees to the Lakefront Park are Rs. 10 for children and Rs. 50 for adults. For morning walkers, a monthly charge of Rs. 100 has been decided.
